On February 1, 2009 church services were dismissed early and the church body was challenged to help by providing food for three local food pantries.  Food was given to the Aaron McNeil Center,  Impact Ministries (a part of the Christian County Baptist Association) and the Salvation Army.  Click on the picture to view more photos and a video of the church in action.

                               The Bruns Family

Kevin and Susan Bruns accepted the call to missions in 1999.  In 2003, they both had the privilege of joining short term mission teams bound for Haiti.  A desire to be obedient to the Lord led them to further their education over the next several years.  In 2008, they applied and were accepted to Global Outreach International as missionaries to Haiti.  To learn more about Global Outreach International visit their web site at: http://www.globaloutreach.org

Kevin and Susan have four children:  Skyla – 12; Kali – 11; Jessica – 9; and Josiah – 8.  They have begun the adventure of homeschooling in anticipation of the move to Haiti.

In May 2008, Kevin graduated with his B.A. in Missions and Evangelism and Susan graduated with her Nursing degree.  They are currently building their support team so that they may move to Haiti as soon as the Lord allows.

Their desire is to be obedient to the Lord and allow Him to use them as He sees fit in reaching the people of Haiti for Christ.  Teaching the Haitian people to walk daily with our Lord …

New Work Fellowship wants to reach people locally.  A team inspired by Catalyst™ created a video about poverty in Hopkinsville.  Click on the picture on the left to view this video.

On February 3, 2008 church services were dismissed early and the church body was challenged to help by filling the nearly empty shelves of two local food pantries.  Click on the picture on the right to view the video of the church in action.  We had a tremendous response from our message resulting in an estimated combined purchase between $6,000 and $8,000 of food items for the pantries at Impact Ministries (a part of the Christian County Baptist Association) and the Salvation Army.  That is up to 4 tons of food!  We want to say thank you: Tony Grace for your truck, trailer and time; Todd Smith and David Gardner for the use of their trucks; and to everyone else who helped!
